What is Janus?
In ancient Roman religion and myth, Janus is the god of beginnings, time, duality, doorways and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces, since he looks to the future and to the past. It is conventionally thought that the month of January is named for Janus, presided over the beginning and ending of conflict, and hence war and peace. The gates of a building in Rome named after him were opened in time of war, and closed to mark the arrival of peace. Our target as Janus Company is almost similar to its character. We use experiences of architecture and engineering and try to create for the future as best as it is possible with using experiences. All modern techniques and styles are based on the old and traditional engineering which makes our life better. Architecture is a passion, a vocation, a calling- in not only reflect our time and culture, but also shape it. As architects and designers we create setting to inspire the way we live, love, heal and work.
